Such a Silly Cow

This is now one of my favorite cow images, I like that it takes very little coloring to have her/Loving Life looking pretty!

I wanted a wide border to print a sentiment on so the out of the box technique for the cow helped create it.  The sentiment is computer generated.
I then masked off the cow with a sticky note (which I'll store for later use) and stamped on the fence, it took two stamping across the panel and I started on the left.

Prismacolor pencils were used to color the image.

Stamps: QKR Stampede, Loving Life, Wooden Fence
Paper: Bazzill - white, Remember When - black, The Paper Company - red
Ink: Memento - Tuxedo Black
Accessories:Making Memories - Button brads, Aleene’s tacky glue, Prismacolor pencils, baby oil
Tools: cutting scissors, paper stumps, Cuttlebug and dies - Asterisk, Tiny Tags (inside - flower centers) straight pin, piercer

Got me a Frog!

-Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image except for the skin which was done with Copic markers.

-I love the out of the box technique for keeping the panel and borders smaller and it made a big difference in the layout for this card.

-The fence image is stamped on both panels at once by measuring and lining the panel up to each other and the card’s edge (repostitional tape held them together). When stamping two layers at once there is always an area that doesn’t get stamped but the borders will cover it. Once the borders are attached it’s easy to line the panels up again with the measurements taken before stamping. I keep small sewing slide rulers handy so I don’t have to jot down the measurements.  Here's a photo of two:

-The faux embossing on the card base is done by punching the frogs, layering two together and gluing them to the card. Trim the edges as needed.

-The Kraft, green, designer paper and frogs were ink distressed.

Stamps: (direct links) 12806 Little Boy, 17814 Wooden Fence
Paper: Stampin Up retired papers including the plaid, Marco’s white
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Ranger Distress Ink - peeled paint
Accessories: The Paper Studio – brads, Prismacolor pencils, Copic markers, Aleene’s tacky glue
Tools: McGill frog punch, paper cutter, cutting scissors, paper stumps, mat pack and piercer for bards, sponge

Tooth Fairy Quilt

Hi there. I hope you all enjoyed our hop last weekend. I will be picking a winner for the gift certificate later today, and hope to have it posted by this evening. Well today I thought I would continue with using one of the QKR Stampede Angel stamps and show you this Tooth Fairy image. Isn't she cute?!! I colored her with marker, and fussy cut her out. I added some smootch to her wings and the teeth, and some copper stickles to the coin. Next, I layered her onto this "quilted" background with foam tape. There is a great tutorial on Splitcoast for how to make this background. It really is very easy, and looks sooo cool. It is also a great way to use some of those scraps of PP up...since you only need 3/4" x 3/4" squares. Last I added the little pink "pearls" and the rub-on sentiment.
That is all from me for now. Be sure to check out the QKR Stampede Store for more angel images and TONS of other fun images.

Bundled Up -Brrr It's Cold

OK maybe it isn't as cold right now, but living in WI it can change on a dime up until the middle of April.
QKR Stampede has so many wonderful choices of images to use- I love that you can buy either red rubber or digital to choose your favorites.
This image is called Bundled Up and is cute as a button.
I stamped this image several times on various patterned paper- now you know I had to fussy cut each piece and put them together.
The image was matted with a Spellbinder circle, I used several embellishment gems from Pizzaz APlenty to adorn the circle and the corners.
I have been on a mission to use several supplies I have in my stash- the green adhesive ribbon and fuzzy chenille were just perfect to add to this quick card.
I like having cards like this available in case I need a quick card- all I need to do is add a sentiment.
Background paper from DCWV glitter stack.

Don't be left out in the cold- order your stamps today from the QKR Stampede store.

Order any 5 stamps (rubber or digi-stamps) online at QKR Stampede and receive the 6th one FREE! When submitting payment, include the item number of your free stamp -- your choice, no price restrictions. Hurry!! Offer ends the end of the month. One Pear, Different Cards

Hello Friends!   Today I'm showing you 2 cards made with the Pear (#3801) image from QKR Stampede.  A couple weeks ago I showed you a simple note card I made with this stamp and I really went to town with this particular image.  I have loved working with it and thought I would show you a couple more cards I made with this stamp.  It comes in rubber and digital form both.
Both of these images were stamped on white card stock and colored with watercolor crayons. I used scraps from my never ending scrap stash to layer them.  The Cards are different colors and dimensions.
I wanted to show a couple different ways you could use the same image to make very different cards.  I think I have succeeded, as these cards are very different from each other.
I hope you have enjoyed these cards and will go take a look at this and all the other fabulous images at QKR Stampede.
Be sure to come back tomorrow, Friday, February 18th for our Design Team Blog Hop.  You won't want to miss the inspiration we have for you.
Thanks for stopping by.  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.  We love your feedback!
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Patched Hearts

Happy Wednesday to all you QKR fans!
Today's post from balmy Minnesota
(it's above zero - that is balmy here).
My card today features the cute stamp
 Patched Hearts #23203.
Since it is Valentine's week, I thought I'd ink up this stamp.
I had this patriotic paper in my stash and thought it
would be cute with this image.
This could be a great Fourth of July card too!
Thinking summer here, trying to beat cabin fever.
I stamped onto kraft paper then colored with colored pencils.
I used a glaze pen to highlight the black areas.
I used my favorite Nestabilities label set and
doodled around the edge with a fine tip black pen.
Thanks for stopping!
Head on over to the QKR Store and grab some
of their great stamps for yourself!
Until next time....

Sundae Bear

This guy obviously ate a couple sundaes prior to this one but then that's a pretty big dish!  These bears always bring on a smile!

Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image using the Gamsol technique. Baby oil replaces the Gamsol/mineral spirits.

The cherry was stamped a second time in red, cut out and placed over the original, shaded with pencils and covered with Paper Glaze.

The diagonal printing on the base was computer generated.

Stamps: QKR Stampede – 3001 Bear with Sundae
Paper: Stampin Up – sand, Paper Flair – Designer paper including the black
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Computer ink
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, baby oil, Making Memories – button brads, Aleene’s Paper Glaze
Tools: paper stumps, computer printer, cutting scissors, guillotine paper cutter

Altered Tag

Hi there QKR Fans! I am so glad you stopped by today. Today I wanted to share an altered item with you..using THIS QKR Stampede stamp. First...let me show you the "before" photo... I found this tag in my bedroom recently. It was attached to a pair of jeans I purchased a while ago. I saved it to alter...then lost it...because I loose everything...lol. Well I stumbled upon it again the other day, and decided to "fix" it. When I picked out the Philippians 4:4-7 stamp, I wasn't' sure what I was going to do with it...but I just liked it for some reason. So, I thought it would be a perfect fit for this tag. Here is what i ended up with...
What do you think? This is really out of my norm, but I love the way it turned out! I used the papers from Echo Park, and black ink. I covered the tag, and ink distressed the entire thing with black ink. I then added the verse image...which was stamped on cream CS, and also ink distressed. Last I added some embellishments. I added chipboard flowers (which I covered in EP papers), black pearls, black rhinestones, and some white pearls.
Well that is all for now. Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to stop back daily. All the talented DT gals post regularly, and they have such wonderful eye candy to see! Have a great day!

Ask And It Shall Be Given

I am so thrilled to have found this wonderful sentiment from Biblical Impressions from QKR Stampede  it is called ASK.

I used some some blue Copic to highlight the words. Card stock from my stash.

Simple note card

Hello blogger friends!  Today I'm showing you a simple note card that I made using the Pear image (#3801) from QKR Stampede.  I stamped the image twice onto white card stock and cut one out with a Nestabilities oval die.
The images were colored with watercolor crayons and layered onto another oval cut of yellow patterned paper.
I fussy cut one pear and adhered it on top of the other with foam tape.
The cream card stock behind the ovals was embossed with my Cuttlebug and a Sizzix texture plate.
The entire thing was layered onto a kraft card stock base.
The corners were all rounded and this simple note card was done.
I like the simple clean look of this card as well as the dimension of the pear.
What do you think?
Leave a comment and let me know.  Then hop on over to the QKR Stampede site and see this image as well as the many other available.  They are available in rubber or digi form.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

QKR Stampede Angel

I love this cute angel called Angel Wishes! I used scraps to create the card base, then sewed along the "seams". This is a digi image (you can also get the same image in rubber), so I could remove her mouth (that looks like she is singing) with my Paint program. That's one of the cool things about digi images is that you can get so many more uses with them.
She is colored with Copics and colored pencils and gamsol. I glittered her wings and the star and added brads.

TFL,
Debbie
