Old Car

QKR Stampede is not always quirky, I really like this Old Car for  masculine cards.

Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image.

Tan and cranberry layers were stippled with black soot distress ink.

The tan small triangles above and below the image panel are a ¾” square cut corner to corner and dry embossed then ink distressed and glued to the card.

Stamps: QKR Stampede - 20205 Old Car
Paper: unknown tan, brown and beige, Stampin Up – Cranberry Crisp, Paper Pizazz designer paper
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black, Ranger distress ink – black soot, vintage photo
Accessories: Prismacolor pencils, baby oil, Treasures in Time – brads, tacky glue
Tools: Cuttlebug and Stampin Up embossing folders, paper stumps, sponge, Stampin Up mat pack and 1/16” circle punch for brads, stipple brush, 3/4" square punch

Cross

Hi there! Today I wanted to share a card with you that I felt just came out sooo pretty. It is using the CROSS image from the QKR Stampede store. Isn't it gorgeous???!!! I thought this image was just perfect for the Easter season. I stamped it with versa-mark, and embossed with gold embossing powder. Then I used colored pencils, and colored in the open spaces. I fussy cut it down, and layered onto the various pieces of PP from Echo Park. I hand wrote the sentiment, and added some ribbon, and flowers.

I just wanted to say a special thank you to all those who hopped along with us last week. We always enjoy seeing your comments!

Pretty In Purple

Today I want to share my cute little 4901 Girl with Balloon.
I used her in a movement card I did last month and wanted to show her again.
Let us say this is a very CAS card for me. CLEAN AND SIMPLE and adorable.
Isn't she adorable?
I thought this would be a fun card again for a girl that  really likes the color purple.
Image was matted with one of my most used Spellbinder shapes.
The pattern paper and ribbon are from my stash.
Did you know there are several images available in the QKR Stampede store that available in both red rubber and digital? I love the choice of using both- how about you?
Thanks
Dawnll

The words in german "Schon wieder Ostern?" is translate "It's Easter again?"
This was my first attempt to create a digistamp.
I colored the image with watercolor pencils and I wiped with turpentine.

Spring Is Almost Here

Hi there and thanks for stopping by!
Sorry with the late post but I have been having internet issues the past week. I hope you enjoyed the hop yesterday as much as I did. If you didn't get a chance to hop along just scroll down and start from there. I also did not get to make a card for yesterdays hop because I have yet to find my stamps. I did manage to come across this beautiful Magnolia flower blossom and it reminds me that spring is near.

Sunshiney Card

Hello friends!  Today I have this Sunshiney Card to show you.  Is that even a word?  Not sure, but you get the idea.
I made this card using 2 stamps from QKR Stampede,  Patchwork Sun (#6104)and My Sunshine (#9302)
I saw this style of card quite a while ago and thought I would give it a try.
The 'envelope' part of the card was made with a 12x12" piece of white paper.  The blue is patterned paper from my scrap stash.
I stamped the Patchwork Sun onto white card stock and colored it with Pan Pastels and adhered with foam tape.

The insert is white card stock cut to size with some blue Memento ink applied to the edges.
Thank you for stopping by today.  Be sure to come back tomorrow (3/18) for the

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hello friends - I made this card with the
adorable image Irish Bear #10003 from QKR.
I colored with colored pencil and blended with mineral spirits.
Background paper is from October Afternoon.
I think my favorite thing about this card
are the brown pearls along the scalloped edge.

Love Bear turns into Lucky Bear

Today is my turn to host a project on QKR Stampede and I have a fun idea for you for using QKR's digital images. I used digi Love Bear for this card and changed the heart to a clover.

There is probably an easier way to do this, but I am still learning. Here is how I did it.

1. I opened the image up in Paint and cut out the heart on the bear and saved him in my files.

2. Then I opened him up in Inkscape.

3. I opened the image with the heart back up in Paint and copied the heart.

4. I went back to Inkscape and pasted the heart and resized it. Then I pasted 2 more hearts and rotated them where I wanted them and saved to my files.

5. Then I went back to Paint and opened him there and with the drawing tool, drew the stem and saved him once again as "clover bear".

This is a great way to get more for your money with the digital stamps.

Have a great day!

Dog Bath

This poor guy looks a bit frustrated with the process of getting clean.  Maybe tomorrow will more fun!
Prismacolor pencils were used to color the image.
Art Glitter Adhesive and glitter was applied to the bubbles.
The red flowers are the negative portion of a Fiskars border punch.  When I want only the flower I cut a strip of cardstock about ½” in width and place it just under the flower while the punch is upside down for a better view.  The center is a negative portion of a Sizzix button die.  They are glued to the flower center then to the flower to the card with Aleene’s tacky glue and Stickles was applied to the center.  Marvy black marker was used to add stems.
The sky was lightly sponged using my handmade clear acetate cloud template.
I didn't have to cut out a mask for the dog to add the fence, some straight edged sticky notes worked just fine and I used the Marvy black marker again to connect the fence to the dog image.
The sentiment was printed with the computer.
Stamps: QKR Stampede – Dog Bath 1801, Wooden Fence 17814
Paper: The Paper Company - red base, Stampin Up red flowers, blue border, yellow flower center, unknown green designer paper and white

Chocolate Chips

Hi there. Today I have a "tasty" card for you. I just love this saying from the QKR Stampede store called Friends Are. When I saw it, I knew what I wanted to do with it. Here is what I came up with. I stamped the Friends Are image on brown CS with black ink. I used my corner rounder on the corners of that piece. For the "cookies", I cut out some circles by hand, but I didn't stay on the "lines". I wanted them to have rough edges. I just cut the little chocolate chips with brown CS, and layered them randomly on the cookies. I ink distressed the cookies so the edges look golden brown. Just the way a cookie should be. I layered all those onto the PP...which is from my stash. I thought it was perfect for this saying though. This is just one of the many great sentiments in the QKR Stampede store. Head on over and check out some of the other ones that are for sale. There are a good amount that will make you laugh too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Your Nothing But An Alley Cat

Have you seen this adorable Alley Cat image from the QKR Stampede store?
This month I am trying to use a various amount of stamps-actually I took time to scout out all three divisions of the QKR Stampede site- Check out Eureka Rubber Stamps ,
Stop by Biblical Impressions Rubber Stamps for one of the largest collection of Christian rubber stamps available.
This first card is done with a piece of tissue paper with several metallic designs on the background.
I even found a piece of this adhesive backed grid type mesh.
Both images were colored with Copic markers and Liquid Glass was used to accent here and there.
On this second card I used this fun orange patterned paper and matted the image a few times.
I decided to use the same sentiment as above but only stamped the first line on the front and the remainder of the sentiment in the inside.
I even was lucky to find this great orange grid ribbon to add from my stash, and also that adorable kitty button.
11807 Perfect is one of the most useful sentiments to use. It is available in red rubber or digital if you prefer.
90215 - Open Stars Border was also used on this second card as a border on the orange piece of card stock to give that alley cat some fun designs.

Make sure you pop back in to see what my fellow team members have to show you this month.
Thanks

You're an Angel!

QKR Stampede has the cutest angel images!  For this card I used Praying Angel (#16215) I stamped this adorable angel onto white card stock and colored her with watercolor crayons.  I then fussy cut her, adhered her to some card stock and fussy cut again, this gave the image a bit more depth on the card.
The base of the card is white card stock. I used some speckled card stock in a very light purple for the first layer.  I got a packet of these 4"x6" pieces at Hollo's Paper Crafts in Brunswick, Ohio.  If you are ever in the Cleveland area, you need to stop there, they have so many wonderful paper and crafting items at fabulous prices.
For the sentiment, I used my SCAL2 program and my Cri-Kits Metallic pens and my Cricut Expressions to write it out.  Then cut it down to size, layered it onto card stock, then adhered it to the card.
Praying Angel was adhered with foam tape.
The little star bling is from my stash.

Head over to QKR Stampede to see this and so many other adorable angel images, both in rubber and digital stamps.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Be sure to come back again soon for some more inspiration from the QKR design team!  Leave us a comment and let us know what you think.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Birthday to Moo

I just love this Party Cow image from QKR Stampede. I grew up on a dairy farm and this image will be perfect for cards for all the guys in my family. This one is going to my brother in April.

I got the layout idea from a CTMH catalog of a scrapbook page. I liked the circle of circles.Mine are 1/2" punched circles.  I added the stitched "x's" in embroidery floss and used gray papers from a discontinued paper pack from SU! The red was some I had in my scrap stash that I am trying to dwindle down.

I colored the image with Tombow Dual Brush Pens: red #856, gray #N95, and flesh #850.

The inside says "Happy Birthday to Moo"

I hope you enjoyed this fun Party Cow card.
