Names Of The Father

I love this Eureka Stamps background Stamp 32401 Names Background and with Easter coming it makes a great Easter card. I stamped the entire image which is 4 X 4.75 but then used a Spellbinders die and cut it to a smaller image, then sponged the entire image while it was still in the die. I then inked the edges to give it a more aged look.

Here's a wonderful combo of colors using the Tulips image from Eureka Stamps.

Copic markers were used for coloring: Y15,17,19, V12,15,17, YG61,63,67, BG0000,000,10

EK Success punch was sued to cut the buckle and covered it with Aleene’s Paper Glaze to create a shiny finish and it also adds stability. The ribbon that wraps around the right side of the panel is taped to the back side. I thread the ribbon though the buckle before attaching it to the card and the ribbon is secured to the card panel with the Paper Glaze product on the left side of the buckle. The buckle is attached with double sided tape and a touch of Aleene’s tacky glue to each side.

Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the even borders.

Scor-Pal was used to emboss lines across the envelope stopping at the image.

Today I'd like to share a thank you card with you.

I used the "Turtle" (#16315) stamp from

QKR Stampede

to make this cute card.

He was stamped onto white card stock and colored with watercolor crayons.

The 'thanks' was cut on my Cricut Expressions from the Opposites Attract cartridge.

Inside I will write

"for sticking your neck out!"

A breath of spring....

Good morning ( or afternoon depending ) ! This is Jessica B. with a card to share for Eureka Stamps. I have to say the image I chose for this card is probably one of my favorite stamps...and I have a lot of stamps too. It is just so pretty, so simple and yet so fun to color. I am sure I didn't color this type of flower correctly..but that is what I call using my "artistic licence" LOL.

See...isn't that a pretty image? I stamped it in Versafine black on Neenah paper ( that was cut and embossed) and colored with my Prismacolor pencils and OMS . Then I did a bit of sponging with SU! daffodil delight ink while it was still in the die. I then layered the image onto a piece of pale yellow card stock that I had punched a border onto. Next up was the ribbon which I had in my stash but it is just a piece of pretty cream colored sating ribbon, then I layered all of that onto a piece of DP then onto the card. Pretty simple..yet so light and fresh looking at the same time.

I made this one with a stamp from the Tender Thoughts line of stamps from Eureka stamps.

The Tender Thoughts stamps are so pretty that you don't need to do much to them to create a beautiful card. Just let the image be the star of the show!

This is Hibiscus and Bee and Best Wishes from Eureka Stamps. They are both available in Digi or unmounted red rubber. I like this image because it can be paired with many different sentiments.

Tea Time

A friend at church this Sunday told me she is making something for all the women at our ladies' spring banquet this year that involves something with teacups, and will include two teabags to encourage fellowship. She asked if I had any text stamps that might go along with it. How funny ... I had just made this card Saturday!

The teapot image comes in two sizes; I used the smaller image as a backgrounder for the Patsy Clairmont text.

Hi there. Quick post for me today. Gotta run to work...uggggg. I wanted to share a card I made using the Eureka Stamps True Friends stamp. I have some wonderful friends in my life right now that are helping keep me together. SO this stamp made me think of them.

I stamped the image onto cream CS, and trimmed it down. I stamped again on white CS so I could make fluffy clouds. I used watercolor crayons to color the rainbow, and layered onto pink CS. I used some rainbow CS for the background and layered onto a cream CS base.

Well I am off to work...lucky me! LOL

This is Jessica Beare with a cute little card for QKR Stampede. If you haven't been by there before or it has been a while, please go check out the cute and some what "quirky" stamps they offer. We all know someone a bit "quirky" that could need a little cheering up don't we?

I don't know where you live but it has poured buckets here in (not so) sunny SC for the last couple of days. I don't mind the rain so much while the kids are at school OR I don't have to go to the grocery store !

For my card today I chose this adorable little umbrella. Is that not the cutest stamp ever? My 7yo daughter is a sucker for rain gear( so am I lol), and she loved playing with this one.

I stamped the umbrellas repeatedly in Memento tuxedo black ink, then colored them with Prismacolor Colored pencils and OMS, then added some stickles to the stars and umbrella handles. I am sorry you can't tell in the pick but there is the tiniest bit of bling to it. I layered it with a lime green polka dotted piece of dp then onto the card base. So easy and so simple.

That is it for me tonight, I am SO very tired . we did a lot of work in the house this weekend as we couldn't get out of it ..and I have to get up at 5:45 to get the two youngest kids on the bus tomorrow..so I am going to go count the stars! Hope you had a fantastic weekend and a wonderful start to your week!

Photocard: Footprints in the Snow

My youngest daughter, Susie, loves taking pictures. This is one of our front yard, with various footprints of the local wildlife, particularly deer. We have a few ancient apple trees just outside the boundary of this photo that they love to eat from, and they have even gleaned from the bird feeder a two yards from our kitchen window! I made this card for my son, Stephen, overseas with the Navy in Sicily. I thought it would be nice to have the combination of a photo by his younger sister and a card by his mom! Unfortunately, his birthday was yesterday and I forgot about mailing it out until this morning, sigh...

I originally wanted the deer image to be a "ghosty" image on the card. The result was disappointing, though I'm not 100% sure it's because the idea was flawed as that the execution of it; the footprints going through the face definitely warp the image.

I first made another copy of the image on separate piece of cardstock to put over the image, but then decided to print another photo and stamp it in brown. I then used a smaller Happy Birthday text than I had planned. I chalked in the image (not very visible here) to make the deer stand out a little more, without fully covering the snow; I still wanted at least a little of the "ghost" look originally sought for.

I have a springy card today and I love spring. My favorite season is actually fall..but after all this cold and rain..I can do with a bit of warmth and flowers ..how about you??

For my image I chose this cute little abstract looking flower stamp. I think it is supposed to be daisy's..but I made them pink and purple HA! I am going to call it artistic license and go with it. It was a pretty simple card. I stamped in Versafine black ink..colored with colored pencils..used a small piece of cute dp, a tiny bow ..and done..very simple.

Well that is it for me today...I am still behind on laundry from when everyone was sick last week ( and the week before if I am to be honest...LOL)

Clean and Simple card

Kristie here today to show you a card I made using "Shamrock Border" (#40502) and "May your Luck" (#13504) stamps both from

Eureka! Stamps.

I stamped the "Shamrock Border" onto green ribbon with green ink.

I have to apologize for the quality of he photo, I could not get a good picture of the ribbon no matter how I try. The shiney-ness of the ribbon just wouldn't let me get a really nice picture without glare.

I ran the ribbon through a Xyron and adhered it to off white card stock.

The "May your Luck" sentiment was stamped onto off white card stock and trimmed then layered onto kraft card stock.

Then it was all layered onto a kraft card stock base.

Dash lines around the outer edge of this card finishes it off.

I love the clean and simple look of this card and hope you do too.

Super Simple Scripture Card

I just finished selling cards at local college. One of the professors there had a mother with Ahzheimer's or some other form of age-related dementia, and so she wanted cards with no embellishments that her mother might mistake for something such as candy and peel off to eat. She also wanted scripture cards with large letters. So, I tried to include a couple of embellishment-free scripture cards each time. This is one that involved a series of coordinated papers, which I cut or punched in various shapes to make this card. The circles seem a bit reminiscent of door knobs, which go well with this scripture.

Today's focus is on the sayings and they are available at Eureka Stamps in both rubber and digital.
All three cards can be created quickly using tools and accessories and the only stamps used on all three (rubber or digital) are the sayings.

The ribbon was hand tacked with needle and thread at each fold and the ends of both the ribbon and thread were taped to the back of the panel.

Hello! This is Jessica B. with a card for Eureka Stamps today. In case you don't remember me I am actually a DT member and not a blog jacker..LOL. I do appologize for the no-posts this month but it was truly unaviodable. I have been very ill plus had a couple of sick kids too...add all that up and you get ...nada..

I am starting to feel a bit better though and am trying to get caught up with my blog and my posts for the company blog..may take a while but I will get back in the swing of things.

I chose this adorable stamp for my card. I love bluebonnets..they just scream spring to me..and I sure could use a little sunshine and warmth these days! I must say this card came together pretty easily. That is the great thing about good stamps..if the stamp is good.you shouldn't have to do a whole lot unless you just want to! If you haven't stopped by the store recently..please do! You will find this wonderful springtime image plus a gazillion more to suit all of your card making or crafting needs!

I stamped the image in Archival sepia ink and colored with Prismacolor pencils and OMS. I layerd it onto a square piece of card stock then onto a slightly distressed piece of dp ( SEI) and onto a premade K&Co card base. The cute little butterfly brad is from Anna Griffin..I found it in my stash...and it matched perfectly!

I wont make this a long post today, but just know I will be back regularly ( bar a catostrophic event ;))..hope everyone is well and having a fantastic day!

Trust in the Lord

I enjoyed making this card, but photographing is usually a challenge, primarily with embossed cards; getting true color and clarity is the issue. So, the text is actually more readable than you see here.I love this image, and it's a wonderful background for Eureka's large scripture stamps.

First, I embossed the Baroque background image in gold. I cut the panel to 4" x 5.25", trimming off at the top and right sides. I used a craft knife to cut around the one corner that seemed like it would work for this. The vellum was a "sky" vellum; a white/blue cloudy vellum. I'm sorry, I have no idea where I got it.

When I went to affix the Proverbs 3:5,6 stamp to the acrylic mount, I realized that it had been mounted on some faulty EZ mount foam I had gotten years ago, which mysteriously shrunk. I've never had that problem since, and the company had replaced the foam, but evidently I had not used this stamp since then. So, in order to get the edges of the image (I tend to cut right down to the text) on the cardstock, deliberately performed the no-no of tilting the stamp in each direction. If you look at the image on the website for this stamp, you'll see that the letters are not all solid, as this card shows them to be. However, because of using the translucent vellum, I think this makes for a more readable card, so I would actually recommend tipping the stamp, or using a less translucent vellum.

For the upper right corner, I embossed the background image a second time, then cut out from the same area that I used the craft knife on; if you look closely at that bottom left corner, you'll see what I used. However, Eureka has a Filagree corner that I would have used had I owned it. (There is also a coordinating Filagree border and Baroque square).I took an ancient Sanford gold coat pen and faintly edged the background before affixing to the card. I think it would have also looked nice to emboss the edges.

Stained Glass Wannabe...

Ok...so I had this vision to create a "stained glass" looking card. Started out great! Loved the way it was going. Then I got stuck...and am not thrilled with the results, but kinda like it. It was all good until I got back to the project and found it all curled up (since it was vellum and I used glue and H2Os on it). So then I started at it and wondering where to go next. Also, silly me, forgot to take a picture of the back of the vellum before mounting it. The back is what looked pretty cool, and would have showed you how much work when into it...lol. Well...here is what you get instead....and a close up of the edging...
So I started by stamping the Daffodils stamp from Biblical Impressions onto vellum. I then used a glue pen and glitter to fill in some of the areas. You can see that I used different color glitters on the flower. I used some twinkling H2Os for the stems and leaves. Then when you flip over the vellum to the "other side" the colors show through. (Again, I totally should have taken a photo before I mounted, but yeah...that slipped my mind.) Like I said, when I came back to the image after letting it dry, it was a bit curled up. So I needed to change my mounting plan. I decided to use scor-tape to hold it down. I picked a wider tape so that I could use black glitter around the edges to look like the molding of the stain glass. AGAIN...epic fail...couldn't find the black glitter...lol. So I went with black embossing powder. Honestly...I loved the results of that. The way it melted looked more "realistic", so I went with it. Then came the tricky part...what to do next. So I went simple, and just mounted that onto some purple CS, and said...IT IS DONE! I would have liked to have added a sentiment somehow, but ran out of space. Overall, it is very pretty and different. It could be used for some many different occasions also. Well thanks for stopping by, and have a fantastic day!

Pot of Gold

Hi there. I hope you are all enjoying your Monday so far. Here in the US it is a holiday...plus my kids have the entire week off of school too. They of course are off skiing...lol. Well, today I wanted to share a card with you that I made using the Lg. Pot of Shamrocks stamp from Eureka Stamps. I stamped the image and fussy cut it out. Then I added some gold stickles to the handle, and colored the shamrocks green. I felt some of the shamrocks needed to sparkle, so I added green stickles to some of those. I layered the pot onto 2 different shades of green CS, and then onto a green PP that I "stole" from my DD's paper stack (psss...don't tell her...lol). Then I found some scraps of green ribbon. I wanted to put a bow on, but there wasn't enough ribbon left, so I just put the 2 pieces on the paper instead.
Well that is all for now. I will be back in a bit with a card I made with a card I made with a Biblical Impressions stamp. However I decided to make it a little more "elaborate" then I originally intended, so it had to sit and dry before I mounted it...lol.

St. Patrick's Day!

I am not Irish and don't really celebrate the holiday anymore...since the green beer days in college....but I do love making cards with this adorable Large Leprechaun from Eureka Stamps St. Patrick's Day Selection of stamps.

The glittery shamrock stickers are from Hobby Lobby. I don't remember where I got the paper because it's been in my stash for a while but there are lots of cute themed papers at your LSS. I colored the image with copic markers.

Happy Anniversary!

Hi stamping friends!

Kristie here today.

Today I have an anniversary card to show you.

Our anniversary is coming soon and my husband and I love Ireland and Celtic designs, so I thought the

"Shamrock Border" (#40502) from Eureka! Stamps

would be perfect for a card for him.

The "Happy Anniversary" (#9004) also from Eureka! Stamps,

was perfect for this card.

For the green area of the card, I tore a piece of paper and laid it over the white card stock. I used green distress ink to ink over the paper.

The "Shamrock Border" was embossed with gold embossing powder onto a separate piece of card stock then adhered to the card.

The Happy Anniversary was also embossed with gold powder.

To finish the card off, I used some gold thread and wrapped it around the top of the card.

I think my husband will like this card, I hope you do too.

Today I am sharing a couple stamps from Eureka with you... The quote is 40403 Happiness Like a Butterfly and the 3D Butterfly is 29401 Butterfly Pattern. These two stamps work so well together and the 3D pattern butterfly looks so real. A quick and easy card hat turns out beautiful

Valentine Cow

If you look close at all the markings on this cow from Eureka you’ll notice they are hearts…perfect for a Valentine but it also will work for the everyday card.

I used Copic markers to color the images: cow – 100,110,C7, C2,1,0,00, R81,83, flowers - E25,27, Y35,38, grass and stems and leaves – G07,09,28

The clouds were created with a sponge and my hand cut template, here’s a direct link to a free pattern. I did a drag motion starting on the template and dragging off onto the cardstock. It’s such a quick way to add a sky to the scene.

If you look at the cow image linked below you’ll notice there are just stems in the mouth, I used a stamp positioner to aid in stamping on the blooms. I masked off the rubber image to ink up just the bloom I wanted to stamp.

I used the Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting to cut the even layers.

Scor-Pal was used to emboss between the outside black border and Martha Stewart punched border.

The sentiment is a digital image cut out with Stampin Up’s Word Window punch.

The border punch is from Martha Stewart.

Hello stamping fans!

Today I'd like to share with you, a bookmark that I made using

"Rose Border" (#15411) from QKR Stampede.

I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored it with water color crayons. I then fussy cut it, adhered it to some yellow patterned paper, fussy cut it again and adhered it to yellow card stock then to black card stock.

I punched a hole in the top with my Crop-a-dile and used some 'baker's twine' to make a tassle.

This is an easy way to make a cute little gift for someone who loves to read.

Grace and Peace - Boy did I need it.

Its been a little while since my last post due to some rather upsetting things happening at home. I apologise for this.

When I picked up this rather huge stamp which was a bargain at only $6 ... here is the direct link to it http://www.biblicalstamps.com/proddetail.php?prod=37803

I sat and read it and smiled... I forgot to take everything to Him... He offers Grace and Peace as a promise and I decided that I would make up a wall hanging to remind me..

I used Pretty Paper, white stamping card-stock and some rather delicious Dies.

The Stamp works a treat. I sometimes have problems with large stamps that only stamp in places or over stamp in other sections.. this one works a dream!!! it is soooo deeply etched that I stamped once and that was the image I got.... in perfection and without a single smudge, miss stamp or smear.

Some things in life really make me smile!! and working stamps are the best things EVER!!!

I stamped the image using Memento Ink in tuxedo black onto white cardstock. used Stormy Sky mixed with Peeled paint Distress ink pad to colour the edge and mounted it onto the back layer... the result is this.... I LOVE IT

I added some small flowers to the edges too in white. I was going to make it as my Bible marker but worried that I would forget it was there and would be tucked away until I picked up that particular page I had marked.

The uniqueness of a snowflake

I know, I know, snowflakes are white, and winter skies are blue! But as soon as I saw these stamps from Eureka, I knew I wanted to do pink and brown. No logical reason just pure whimsy! Actually, I had some Distress Embossing Powder in Tattered Rose (the ink color used), and my plan was to emboss the snowflake. But mystery of mysteries, it was nowhere to be found. I was really, really set on using the powder, so I literally searched for days, even though I could not afford the time. I never did find it, but my stamp room is a bit more organized at least! Last minute, I thought of the pearls, which of course, makes my non-conformist card all the stranger. And to top it all off, my husband informed me that snowflakes are hexagonal, not octagonal!

Class Valentine's Set 2...

So here is class Valentine's Set 2....well 1/2 of set 2. I used 2 different stamps for this set. Both from Biblical Impressions. For this set, I used the Swirl Heart stamp and the Valentine sentiment stamp. ...and a close up... I stamped the hearts twice on these with pink ink, and then the sentiment with purple ink. Like the last set, the papers were already cut, so it was really quick to whip off for me. I will share the rest of this set with you later this week during the Biblical Impressions DT Blog hop. Class Valentines

Today I wanted to share class set #1 of my daughters' Valentines. I have to make 3 class sets, and of course they all have to be different...lol. The nice thing was I already had the papers all cut for a different project that I have since scratched from my to-do list. So...that part was easy. I also thought it would be fun to not color the images so that my DDs can color them before giving to their friends. So...for set number 1, I used the adorable Hearty Dragon stamp from Eureka Stamps.

So that is the class set...and here is a close up... Super cute! Love this stamp. I stamped them on cream CS with purple ink. Then I used a pink ink to stamp the Happy Valentine's Day stamp (also from Eureka Stamps). Next was some quick mounting, and all set! Actually my oldest DD helped me mount them all onto the purple CS base. She did a really good job centering them too! Now I will just have my youngest DD write her name on the back and they are ready to pass out to her friends next week!

I love this image from Biblical Impressions (scroll toward bottom of page). This fish symbol is sort of an ancient times acronym; the letters stand for Greek words that mean Jesus Christ, Son of God, Savior. Shortly after the time of Christ, intense persecution was inflicted upon Christians by the Roman Empire, and this symbol was a way of communicating with another believer that they were in like company, and could be free to talk of their faith.

I used twinkling H2O's to color, though when doing the earth toned fish, I realized that I did not have enough colors. So, I used markers, then lightly brushed a neutral H2O over the spaces so that they would have the same glimmer. I'd recently been deploring the lack of nice magnets on our refrigerator, so the smaller ones I mounted onto dominoes, and attached to magnets.

Good Morning peeps! Jessica B. here with a fun little card for Biblical Impressions. If you haven';t checked them out recently , please do! It is full of fantastic images to suit whatever your project or card is begging for! Hope everyone has had a great start to their week..me? I have been down with a few issues..but an on the mend ( good thing too because my house is a total wreck LOL)..now, onto the creative stuff!

For my card I chose this awesome little guy. He just melts my heart!

Hehe..isn't he adorable?? He was fun to bring to life too! I stamped him in SU! Old Olive, then went over him with a slightly damp paint brush. I also used some Derwent Inktense and Derwent Water color pencils to add the "ground" beneath him... I redefined the edges of his box of candy and roses with a Rapidograph pen ( as I have water proof India Ink in it)..and painted those in with an Inktense pencil as they are very vibrant.)..I used a water color pencil to shade in around him as well to make the image kind of "pop".. I LOVE him! LOL..

That's it for me today....I have Tons of laundry to do..( that is an every day thing for a family of 6!)..and grocery shopping..( that seems like an everyday thing as well sometimes..LOL)..and a few other errands to run..then back to my crafty projects...Have a great day!!

I LOVE the clean and simple style and always try use this look when I am mailing cards. I don't want the card to get ruined by embellishments that poke out. No matter how hard I try the card never stays the same!

I have used the Eureka Stamp that is titled Hearts Flower Border.

I then used a rub-on from my scrap bin so I could fittingly send it to my friend.

I am sending more and more CAS cards out to keep in touch the "old-fashioned" way since our move, but I love it. I can sit at the table and write a letter while my girls practice their letters too. :)

Hi there it's Ceal again with another Eureka Stamps card. For this card I used 20801 Butterfly and Sunflowers. It is part of the Tender Thoughts collection. I love, love, love this stamps. It is so fun to color and makes a beautiful card.

Valentine Moose

Eureka Stamps has a quite a few big moose images and I find them not only amusing to look at but fun to color. I used Copic markers to color this one.

I used the Perfect Layers tools from PerfectPaper Crafting to cut the even layers and the Perfect Square works great for the out of the box image.

After cutting the out of the box image I used a Marvy black marker to color the very edge of the cardstock.

Stampin Up mat pack and Bazzill piercer were used to place the brad holes. I believe the brads are from Darcie, but not positive.

On the insert I cut a strip of designer paper and about a 1/8" strip of cardstock and glued them to the paper with Aleene's tacky glue. I did the same for the envelope but cut red paper in place of cardstock. I used an EK Success punch for the hearts and also glued them on.

Hogs & Kisses

Hi crafty people!
Today I have a little "Hogs & Kisses" card to show you.
I made this cute little card with
Pigs in Love (#2702) from QKR Stampede.

I used to be a pig collector, years ago, we had pigs of all sizes in every room of our house. Since that time, I've changed my style and now I, pretty much, only stamp pigs.
I thought this couple were adorable and they are a quick and easy image to color. I stamped onto water color paper and used water color crayons to color them.

I hand printed the sentiment.

I think this would make an adorable Valentine for my hubby!

I wanted to really spotlight the image.

I used one of my favorite techniques -

I like to use Bazzil paper as it

has some texture to it and that

really helps to pop the colors out.

You're a Star!

Hello all! It's Kristie sharing today.

I have always loved when I see cards made with pages from old books and I have a couple books that I keep just for that purpose.

I love how this card turned out!

I used the Lg Patriotic Star (#11603) from Eureka! Stamps to make this card.

I tore a page out of an old book and stamped the star image randomly all over the page with red Distress Ink. I then used clear embossing powder to heat emboss the images.

As you can see I layered a couple layers onto a red card base to give a bit of dimension.

For the inside I randomly stamped onto another page from the book with red Distress Ink.

I used my computer to print the sentiment onto white paper, then used a bit of Antique Linen Distress Ink to tone down the bright white of the paper. I stamped a star into the center of the sentiment. I didn't want the star to overpower the sentiment, so I stamped it onto scrap paper and then onto the sentiment.

I think this card could be used for Valentine's Day, as a congratulations card, or for anytime you just want to let someone know you care or are proud of them.

There are many wonderful image in the Eureka! Stamps Store that can be used for a lot of different occasions, just try to think outside the box and use your imagination.

Masculine Birthday Card

Because of the college classes I'm taking, I tried to get a good head start on cardmaking this year, and had today's card finished a week or two ago. However, as is very typical for me, I suddenly remembered a family birthday - my husband's - is today! It's almost a family joke how I tend to forget my own family member's birthday cards until last minute! So Saturday morning found me hastily making a card while my husband shoveled the driveway! Bruce is not really into cards, but some time ago he saw me with a stack of notecards I was beginning to color in, and he requested I make one for him to give someone ... but he liked the black and white, and asked me to put just the smallest dash of red somewhere on the card, and leave the rest without color. Remembering that, I decided to make him a card with the same color scheme, though I did use some grey as well. I used the plaid stripes (second row) and the happy birthday for a simple, masculine look.

Hello! This is Jessica B. here today with a card for OKR Stampede. If you haven't checked them out recently please do so..you will find adorable images to suit any card or project you need!

I chose this cute , detailed pear for my card today. It stamps really well and just as detailed as it looks on the computer!

I stamped it in Archival sepia then water colored the whole thing with water colors and water color pencils. Then I tied some hemp twin around the image and adhered it to a premade card base. You can't get much easier than that can you?

Hi there!

It's Ceal to share another Biblical Impressions card with you. For my card I used two different stamps, 84207 Patchwork Glove and 32603 Snow Swirl. To make my background I stamped the Snow Swirl with Versamark ink added some sticky powder and heated it before adding my embossing powder. I then colored my image with Copic markers and masked it so I could sponge my background with distress inks.

I have another CAS card to share with you today!

I tend to keep some of my birthday cards very simple, especially ones that I am sending to those who are int he hospital or are elderly, or overseas.

I do it for postage reasons and for the fun of simplicity.

I always make sure to use a really thick card stock when I make my cards this simple.

The title of this stamp is fittingly Birthday Girl

and on the inside I used the sentiment titled I Wish You Love which you can get in rubber or digital!

HI! This is Jessica B. here today with a post for Biblical Impressions. What a fun card this was to make! This one is bound for my father for his birthday. I think he will like it as much as I do. If you haven't checked out the store in a while , please do so! There are many fantastic images you can use to create scenes just like this!

Isn't that pretty? I used this fantastic Schooner stamp , plus this for the tree line in the back ground and this stamp for the rocks in the foreground.

To start off I stamped the ship on scrap copy paper and cut it out to make the mask. Then stamped it on the actual piece of paper i was using, covered it with the mask then stamped the trees. I drew a faint horizon line then stamped the rocks in the beachy area. I turned the stamp catty cornered to do the "curve" of the shoreline. Then I colored it all with Prismacolor colored pencils and OMS. Matted it to a dark grey paper....then to the card base..and viloa'..I am super happy with how this turned out!

One of a Kind

HI! Jessica B, here with a fantastic stamp from Eureka Stamps.. I love butterflies and when I saw this beauty I couldn't wait to ink it up. I knew it would be a lot of fun to color and it didn't disappoint!

Ok, I have to admit that once I did ink this up it was a bit intimidating LOL. I decided to use an over all color scheme which was yellow, red, and orange for all but one of the butterflies. I really wanted to make one of the "pop" which I think I did by coloring it in the blue/turquoise.

here is a close up of the image!...so pretty..

I really did enjoy all the coloring and after getting started it really didn't take that long.I stamped it in black and colored with Prismacolor colored pencils and OMS.Very simple. Since the image was so colorful I wanted to make a very simple card, so I just used a premade dark blue card base and a simple piece of white satin ribbon doubled for a tiny bit of texture.

Snowman Block

When I was making this Snowman card last week - about the only snowman I've seen in this strange winter - I had some blue, white, and silver plaid ribbon that I thought would make a really nice blue and white card. The snowman is so charming, he doesn't need any coloring. But then I decided to just add a little color by doing paper piecing with the scarf (using a red marker every other panel). Oh, and wouldn't it be great to do the hat in with black glossy cardstock? And by the time I had embossed the hat portion of the image, it seemed obvious I should continue with the rest of the snowman "parts". How glad I am that I went that direction when I saw Ceal's snowman on the blog! So, now you have two very different ideas of how the same adorable stamp can be used! I am a word person, so I put this greeting of blessings underneath, backed with a scrap of the same paper used for the scarf.

Heart Balloons!!!!

I thought I would share a cute kitty card with you today using the Balloon Kitty Stamp from Eureka Stamps. This super cute image is available in 2 sizes as well as digi format! I used the larger one, stamped it off and colored with watercolor crayons. I trimmed it down, and layered onto some PPs from Echo Park. I added some purple ribbon, and a sticker for the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Balloons

HI there! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. Today I wanted to share a very CAS card I made for using the Balloons stamp from Biblical Impressions. Since we celebrated my middle DD's birthday yesterday, I thought it would be fun to make a birthday card. I stamped the image and colored with watercolor crayons. I used my CM cutting system to cut the oval. I also cut and oval from the purple PP from Echo Park. I layered onto a purple CS base, and used the Happy Birthday stamp from BI along the bottom.

Like I said...very CAS, but I thought it was cute for a kids party card.

I received these two gorgeous stamps In the post and the minute I saw them I knew that they needed to be used on a green and brown card. I kept this card very simple so as not to take away from the verse.

Psalms is one of my favourite books of the bible. And this is by far one of my most favourite verses. I listened to our songsters singing this only the other week. Have had three friends post this as their Facebook status update so it's clear God is trying to get me to hear Him.

Ladybugs, Hearts and Daisies

Hi, Roxie here, I'm using Eureka Stamps images today and repurposed images which can be used year round to create a cheerful Valentine.

The ladybugs were stamped and colored with Copic markers.

The tiny hearts were punched out and glued to the card.

The daisies are packaged precut images that I glued to the card with Aleene's tacky glue and then added Stickles to the center.

A Martha Stewart punch was used for the borders then I embossed two lines using the Scor-Pal before adding the image panel with black border.

For the envelope I cut a strip of cardstock, stamped the ladybugs and colored, attached to the card and ran a line of black along the edge using a Marvy fine tip marker. It is also embossed using the Scor-Pal.

For the insert I scored double lines along each edge.

Dangling Hearts

Hello all!

Do you realize that Valentine's Day is just a little over a month away?

Have you started you cards yet? Do you usually make Valentine's?

Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't.

Today's card is made with

Love You (#10301) from QKR Stampede.

This image can easily be used as a Valentine or for any occasion when you just want to say I Love You!

The image comes in 3 parts. I cut the 3 components apart and use them separately. The sentiment is stamped directly on the white card stock, the rag doll is stamped onto another piece of white card stock and colored with water color crayons. The heart is stamped 3 times onto red card stock.

I fussy cut the doll and the hearts.

The doll is adhered with foam tape as well as the heart she is holding. The others are adhered with glue dots.

I pierced each heart and the letters above with a paper piercer and used 'baker's twine' that I made to "hang" the hearts.

Good Morning! It is Molly from Miss Molly Creations!

I couldn't be happier to announce that I am a part of the Biblical Impressions Design Team!

I was honored and excited as I love to use scripture on my cards and to send to people I have been praying for. I may not always come across as the typical Christian - but I do have a growing faith and love of prayer - as I know first handed it works.

Here is another one of my smaller cards that I can slip into someone's book, or their pocket, or something. I like to leave them so people know I have been praying for them without trying to be thanked for it. It isn't something we should need recognition for, we should just be doing it.

I stamped this cute image onto

colored Bazzil paper then added

color with colored pencil.

I love using this technique -

the colors just post when added

to a darker paper!

Morning folks, today is my first DT posting over at QKR Stampede and I have used this cute valentine turtle 5402 Turtle in Love on my card & coloured him using copic sketch markers. The papers used are a mix of Create Paper & Basic Grey with Kraft & Bazil Basics as matting, and to finish off I added a rather lush bow in a shade to match him.

If you havent already you really need to go take a look round the stamps over at QKR Stampede, the choice is great !

For my card today, I used the image

Saddle Bag # 37917.

This card is really a reach for me -

I don't usually do things without color!

I decided to shake things up a bit and

do a monochromatic card. NO COLORING!

Wow. For me - that's a first!

I am pleased with how the card turned out though -

I think it goes well with the image!

I only used kraft paper and

Brushed Corduroy Distress ink on this card.

You're an Angel

When I was deciding what to create earlier tonight, I was browsing through my Eureka! Stamps and came across "Sm Ribbon Angel" (#21401) and knew this was what I wanted to work with.

I have had this stamp for a while and I don't know why I haven't used it before. I ordered it because she was so beautiful and then she got buried in with my other stamps and just never got noticed.

I'm so glad I found her!

Guess I need a better way of organizing and storing my stamps, eh?

I stamped her onto water color paper and colored her with water color crayons. I wanted a bit of sparkle, so I used some Stickles on her wings and halo. Every angel needs a bit of sparkle don't you think?!?!

To add a bit more sparkle I layered the image onto blue glitter paper then onto a white card base.

I thought this card went right along with the Eureka Blog Hop theme this month of "Love" What signifies love more than an angel?

I plan to send this card to a friend who has been there for me through some very tough times. I will write inside "You're an Angel!"

I do believe that some people in our lives are our guardian angels, there to be with us through thick and thin.

I am showcasing my most favorite of them all and he is also going to be placed in the lunch box of my husband to let him know he is my favorite :)

The title of this stamp is Pucker Up

And how could you not smile when you see him with open arms?

I keep these types of notes small just because I know Nick doesn't want anything he can't put in a pocket. I also know that he is not the type to appreciate the ribbon, brads, and fancy things that can be used.

I just let him know I love him and keep it simple.

Good Morning! This is Jessica B. and I am doing my very first project and post for the Eureka DT. I am so thrilled to be part of such a wonderful, helpful talented Design Team , and to have such fantastic images to work with!
For my project today I chose this wonderful butterfly. After a while you will see I have a bit of a "thing" for butterflies and flowers and this stamp provided both..win-win!

I didn't make a card for today. I needed a birthday gift for my sweet step- sister and I am pretty sure she has gotten plenty of cards from me in the past ( come to think of it she usually gets drawings..hmmm maybe I need to make a card as well ;). Anyway, I stamped the image on water color paper in Archival black ink and colored it in using a mixture of water color pencils and Winsor & Newton inks. The whole thing matted is 8x8. Nice size for a little wall hanging..I am going to frame it before shipping.

Here is a close up of the image. This was such fun to color! I have several other color combos picked out already...and I know it will make a beautiful card.

The Wonderful Names of Jesus II

As a design team member for both Biblical Impressions and Eureka, I thought it might be fun to occasionally post similar images from each. My first post featured Eureka’s Names of Jesus image; here is Biblical Impression’s Names of Jesus image.

This was one of those designs in which what I planned to do and what I ended up doing were very different. I had embossed the NOJ with clear powder, planning to ink not quite to the border of the stamps, so that the border words were legible, but sort of fading off into the background. Then I planned to iron off the embossing, and tear the edges. But in an ADD moment I forgot my original plan and did a more traditional inking (using Brilliance ink pads), and having already messed up my original idea, went for straight edges. While most of my cards are standard A2 designs, this one is slightly larger so that I could frame the stamp better, and cover up less of it with the smaller scripture, which is Psalm 113:3, available on the full sheet, Be Still.

HELLO!

My name is Jessica and I am thrilled to be a new addition to the Biblical Impressions DT! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!

This is my first design team post ever and I am excited to get it underway! Our theme for this month is "Winter" and I think it is perfect. I don't know about you , but this southern girl is not diggin' the cold weather in my area. It was 12 degrees at the bus stop this morning!! I am ready for some sunshine and heat! ( please do not remind me of this when it is 103 this summer :)

I chose this cute little sledding snowman for my focus and I love it. I admit I was tired of red/green so I wanted something different. My 7yo dd said " Why don't you make it a snow "GIRL"..."?? Hmmm..seemed like a good idea so I went with it!

This is a close up of the snow girl .she is in hot pink..and sledding on glitter!( I don't usually use a lot of glitter..but my daughter insisted LOL) I also sprayed some perfect pearls mixed with water on the whole thing to add just a bit of shimmer.
Although you can't see the background paper really well, I used a stamp that says "Let it snow" and stamped the verse repeatedly in Pixie Dust VersaMagic ink. It was a cute way to incorporate a little bit of pink and shimmer with out taking the card over the edge.

Gorill-ya be my Valentine?

I have been working on some Valentine's Day cards this week.

I used Gorilla With Hearts for this card.

The sentiment is Goril-ya Valentine.

I stamped the gorilla on a white panel and then when I cut the panel into a rectangle I trimmed around his leg and head to leave them "out of the box" a little. I think it's kind of a cool effect! The glass heart is from Ariden Creations and the image was colored with Copic Markers.

The Wonderful Names of Jesus

Greetings and Salutations! I'm Sarah Kornhaus, privileged to be part of the Eureka and Biblical Impressions design teams! I have been enjoying and using their stamps for years. After nearly a year and a half of very little card making because of attending college online, it's great to be back into stamping again. I'm still taking classes, but I've eased up on my course load just a bit and have some time for "play."

I love Names of Jesus stamps, they give reminders of the many facets of the Lord; he is our Savior, our King; he is our Shepherd, and so much more. The script-like font of Eureka’s Names of Jesus image is very classy looking. Starting the new year by reflecting on the character of Christ is a great way to go!

For this card, I used metallic/mica powders to achieve an embossed copper effect for a masculine recipient. The green powder (not what is sold at Eureka or BI) has some flaw in it, and smears on any cardstock used. However, I deliberately used it here to accomplish the aged effect. I had planned to add a small scripture text stamp to the card, but when I finished the NOJ panel, I decided the antiqued, elegant appearance did not need anything added to it other than the miniature brads.

It may be my own lack of photography skills, but embossed images never seem to photograph as well as I would like. The text is actually very readable, despite what you see in the photo.

I think I am! All the gifts are wrapped and the cards are mailed. The kids helped me clean the house and the in laws arrive tonight. I will do the final grocery shopping tomorrow.

I made this card last week but haven't had a chance to share it so I thought I'd share it today. Such a simple design but the image is so pretty it really doesn't need much else!

I especially like how the bow turned out!

Hi there...can you believe Christmas is only a few days away????!!!! Small panic attack coming on! Actually I am ALMOST done shopping. I have 4 more gifts to buy, but a couple of them I don't need until after Christmas day, so I have time. My hubby and I are planning on doing all the kids' wrapping on Tuesday night, so we should be good. Then there is the trip to the grocery store...lets just say...that is going to be an adventure. I can't go until Friday, and I will have all 3 of my children...fun fun! Well...today I wanted to share a card I made using the Poinsettia Flower stamp from Biblical Impressions. This image is our "stamp of the month" for December. I stamped the image and colored with watercolor crayons. BUT...I did some paper piecing on the leaves of the flower. The PP is all from my stash...I believe it is SU. I added a rub-on, some stickles, and some little red gems to the corners. A very simple card, but that flower is so pretty alone, that you don't need much more. Well have a wonderful holiday week!

Christmas cards

How are you doing on your Christmas cards?

I was having a tough time deciding on a card to make and I was thinking I wouldn't get them done. Finally, a style ect. just hit me and I was set to go.

I decided to use the "Pine Sprig" (#15702) image from QKR Stampede.

I stamped it onto white card stock and colored them with water color crayons.

I used a few different colors of card stock with the image as a mat.

I then ran white card stock through my Cuttlebug with the snowflake embossing folder.

Here is a close up that shows the embossed snowflakes better.

I use just a touch of gold Stickles on the bells to finish them off.

On the inside of the cards I used the digital image of

"Merry Christmas" (#6803) from Eureka! Stamps.

By using the digital image, I could adjust the size and change the color to match the card fronts.

I'm lovin' how they turned out!
