A set of Christmas Cards - Lots of Photos

Hi there. I hope you are having a good start to your week so far. I am in "panic mode" here...lol. I am sending my oldest off to camp this coming Sunday for 2 whole weeks. Which means I have to get her packed and ready by Friday night, because we will be spending our Saturday at a bridal shower about an hour drive from here. Then the following week I send my middle daughter off for a week. I know they will have a blast, but it is a mom's job to worry right? HA HA.

Well, today I wanted to share a set of Christmas cards I made using this Christmas Tree stamp from Biblical Impressions. I just love the simplicity look of this stamp. So elegant. It looks like a swirly ribbon, or garland wrap to me. Well...here is what I did. I used the same image 6 times to make 6 different cards. Here they are. Pretty neat huh? All the PPs are from Echo Park. The sentiments are either rub-ons, or stamps from QKR Stampede (our sister company). I really enjoyed playing with these images to get 6 totally different cards. All of the trees were stamped with Versamark, and embossed with either silver or bronze embossing powder. Then I trimmed them down to a rectangle. All the tree pieces of CS are the same size on each card. Then I just went to town playing with the PP to get different looks. Well, what do you think? It is kinda nice that I have been able to get a jump start on my Christmas cards for this year. I think I have close to 25 done already!

Well that is all for me for now. Thanks for stopping by!

It's not to early....

Hello!  Kristie here with you today.
Hope you are all enjoying beautiful summer weather.
Why?
Because I'm going to throw you a curve ball by saying
It's not too early to be thinking about Christmas.
I know, it's only July and the weather is hot and beautiful,
we don't want to think about snow and cold!
But, if you are going to make your Christmas cards,
this is a great time to get started.

Today I am showing you a Christmas card I made with 2 images from
I used "Tree" (#14501) and "Sleigh and Reindeer" ( #15705)
I heat embossed "Sleigh and Reindeer" onto blue card stock with silver embossing powder.
At the bottom of the blue, I swiped the VersaMark pad across the bottom and embossed with puffy white embossing powder to make the snow mounds.
I dotted VersaMark and embossed the 'snowflakes' also.
"Tree" was stamped onto green card stock with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed with white puffy embossing powder.  Then I fussy cut and layered it onto the card with foam tape.
I layered this scene onto red card stock and adhered it to a white card stock base to finish off the card.

You can find these and so many more wonderful images that you can use to get your Christmas cards started at
Pop on over to the store and have a look around, there is sure to be something you'll love.

Moose Scene

I was busy making a scene with Biblical Impressions’s landscape images. To begin I stamped the Moose and masked off the image using a sticky note which I have stored to use multiple times. Next the Rock Grouping was stamped, a few if the Grass images (look for orange flowers) and the Field Grass right and last the Forest images right and left were stamped, cleaned and inked up only on the bottom portion and stamped again to bring the grass area down to the moose. Remove the mask and it’s time to color.

I did not worry if the solid forest images don’t stamp solid because I color those with a dark green Copic and it just adds to scene. The scene doesn’t take much of an artist touch, just scribble on a variety of greens and blend together but do remember to add the flowers first and if you have a few white areas when you finish your scribbles fill them with flower colors.

A handmade cloud template and sponge was used to add the sky.

The brad tap was created with a Marvy ½” punch and Cuttlebug circle die which were glued together and cut in half. The brad by the way is a full round brad, the light made it appear flat on the bottom in the photo.

The brown panels were stamped with the Woven Fibers background image. I like using these images for adding texture and they are much easier than pulling out the large images. I stamp the image, cover the straight edge with a sticky note and repeat until I complete the border. There is no lining up the image for repeated stampings.

Copic markers used for the scene: C1,3,5,7, YR09, W0,3,5, G05,7,9,27,28,29,33,49,94,99,E00,21,97,99

Birthday Bear Bag

Happy Saturday!

I needed to have a design team post for the QKR Stampede Blog and for the Die-Cut Diva Blog today so rather than make two separate projects I decided to combine them!

This is a fun little bag that I made using Creative Cuts & More's "Square Bag #01 Large" cut from Caribbean Breeze Bazzill Smoothies Cardstock.

I decorated it with stamps from QKR Stampede and felt flowers from Creative Cuts and more.  This bag is the perfect size for a gift card!

Here's a close up look at the bear and the flowers.

Carpenter

If you know a carpenter with a good sense of humor this QKR Stampede image is perfect for him, his goofy expression will make you smile!

With a plastic stencil I sponged on the checked background for the base to add texture.

Ink distressing with Ranger tea dye ink was done on the base and vintage photo on all other panels.

For the brick embossing (Tim Holtz/Sizzix - Bricked)I inked up the embossing folder on the section that is sunk in which is raised once you emboss. I made sure lots of ink pooled on the mortar areas, it works best to rake the ink pad over that area and the ink is very noticeable on the folder when you have enough. After embossing I distressed with the vintage photo ink.

A Tonic paper perforator was used to tool distress the edges and the curling on the corners was done by rolling the paper with fingers.

The measuring tape is a paper embellishment (unknown company) glued to the card with Aleene’s tacky glue.

The screws are brads from the company Forever in Time.

Copic colors used for the image: Pencil – YR15, Y19, E21, C7, Face – E02, E00, E21, Hair – C1,3,5,7, Jeans B91,93,95,97,99, Shirt – Y13,15,17, Tie R24,27,29, Hat – 40,42,44,47

Your On My Heart

Well what do you think about me doing another card with this fun Eureka stamp?
55901 On My Heart  is one of those images that can be colored so many shades and ways.
Colored with Copic markers and matted on a piece of patterned paper from my stash.
I love that this sentiment  ( YOUR ON MY HEART)can be used for many situations- So I must admit I am glad I have made several  made and  waiting for when I need them.
I think Eureka has some wonderful images for any occasion- and most can be used for several situations.
