What is black and white with pink all over???

Remember that old joke kids used to tell..."What is black and white and red all over?"...well I switched it a little and went with pink...the answer this time...my card I have for you today! I started by stamping off the little girl image called Picking Dandelions from Biblical Impressions Stamps. I then stamped her again on the pink PP so I could paper piece her dress. Next, I added a little bit of color to her skin, hair, socks, and the flowers. Then I cut the image using my cutting system from CM. I picked some black and white papers from Echo Park, and began layering things. I layered the girl image onto some PP with words. Then I layered everything onto the polka dot papers. For the sentiment, I cut a strip from the same PP collection. Notice the little tiny pink on that too.

Well that is all from me for now. I must go take care of a "situation" in my DD's bedroom. I went in to see if the rain was coming in the windows, and found a big wet spot. BUT...the wet spot was not near the window. I starting quizzing the girls to see who spilled something, meanwhile I feel a drop on my shoulder. I look up, and there is a big wet spot dripping. ARRRGGGGG!!!! A quick call to the hubby, and he is on his way home. SO I have the girls getting everything out of the way, so daddy can hopefully fix the problem. I don't' know where it is coming from...there isn't a water line there that I know of, and this isn't on the top floor!

Smiling Snail

And once again are around 2 weeks and I can show you a post with a stamp of QKR Stampede. I love these stamps. Today I have chosen a snail, the "Smiling Snail". The snail is so cute.
The snail is sitting for a quote and the translates is "Who starts the day with a laugh, has already won in".

I colored the image with watercolor pencils and I wiped with turpentine.

Have a nice day

Shower invitations

Hello all!
I hope your weather is as beautiful as mine is here.
It's a beautiful, sunny day here in Western New York.
The perfect day to show you the invitations I'm making for my nieces shower.

I used the beautiful "Bouquet" (#16220) image from QKR Stampede.
I have used this image many times, guess that's because it's one of my favorites, it can be used for so many different kinds of project.
The image was stamped onto white card stock and colored with
watercolor crayons.
I used a Nestabilities die and my Cuttlebug to cut the oval shape,
then inked a bit around the edges of the oval.

I used a Fiskar's border punch to make the "belly band" and adhered the Bouquet image to it.  This band can just slide off the card.
When you slide the band off, the card opens to a little 'box' where I will put all the information about the shower.
The card is made from one sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper.

If you are interested in how to make these cards, send me an e-mail and I will get the info out to you.

Aren't these just lovely?
I love that each one will look a little different, since they are all hand colored.
I will also be making them with different colored bands and possibly some with different papers for the 'card'

Thanks for stopping by my blog today, leave me a comment and let me know what you think.
Then head over to QKR Stampede and see what other wonderful images you can find for a beautiful, sunny summer day.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
