Winter in JULY??

What?  For those of us in the states most of us are not thinking of winter right now.  We are still enjoying the last few summer days left till the leaves begin to turn and the winter settles in.  But, I just got some of the cutest Winter/Christmas stamps from QKR Stampede and I couldn't resist inking them up.  For starters I LOVE Snowmen!  Yes, I have a thing for them...heheee.  Who couldn't resist these cuties?  Also, we could use a little cooling off right about now.

Aren't these two of the sweetest snowmen ever?!  The first stamp is called Catching Snowflakes.  I just adore this snowman's jovial expression.  The second image is called Winter Friends. Looks like a great snow friend to me.  I hope you have enjoyed a little cooling while reading this post and have enjoyed my cards today.  Be sure to come back often for more inspiration using QKR Stampede stamps.
Happy Craftin', JennK

August is almost here

Which means that school staarting is right around the corner, then comes Labor Day, (which is the last BIG holiday of the summer), then comes fall, the winter, and then................well you know what I mean. This year has just flown by for me.

This is Laralee and I decided that I needed to do a card for a friend of mine that is feeling down..............so I picked the smiling flowers (17002). This is just such a nice and friendly stamp and needless to say one of my favs.

I colored it with my copics and I put it on a card from Hallmark, oh and of course I had to put some stickles on it.

I hope that this brightens your day and hers.

Take time to stop and smell the flowers because before long they will be gone and snow doesn't smell.

Thnking Of You

Good Monday morning, crafting friends! It's Jerusha here, to share a card with you today! Well, we are in the middle of summer. It has been hot and sunny here lately, although there is a nice breeze this morning. Summer is a great time for the kids to play outside (not like the winter when we are all freezing!) so we have spent a lot of time out at the park and going for walks and playing at the wading pool. The other day we were at the park with the kids and our youngest discovered the teeter totter. And since then he and his brother have been trying to figure out how to build one at home! That gave me the idea for this sweet card!

For this card, I have used At the Park. It is a super cute stamp! I love the colours on this card, so bright and cheery! Thanks for stopping by the blog today. Don't forget that you can get this card and other cute and quirky stamps in the QKR Stampede store!

Have a wonderful day!!!

Christmas Owl

Hi there! Jessica here with you today. I wanted to share a Christmas card with you today. Since we are featuring some of the wonderful holiday and winter images from the QKR Store this month. To top it off, if you want to see more of these great winter/holiday images, join us right here tomorrow for our "Frosty in July" DT blog hop! Trust me you don't want to miss it. I just love seeing all the fabulous projects from the other DT ladies. So here is my winter card for today.

Isn't this guy adorable???!!! I just love all the owl images in the QKR Stampede Store. I have always been a fan of owls...and the owls from QKR are just adorable! This guy is called Christmas Cheer, and can be found HERE. I colored this guy with colored pencils, and added some crystal effects to the glasses. I also added some sparkly fun flock to the hat trim. I layered onto the PP (from TAC) and added the ribbon. I just love this ribbon technique. Now that I know the "cheater" way to do it, it is soooo easy...lol. Last I added the homemade brad.

That is all from me today, but be sure to stop back tomorrow for our "Frosty in July" blog hop!!!!

Pinecone Accent #2

Hello QKR fans - today's card features once again the Pinecone Accent stamp.
This is quickly becoming a favorite stamp of mine.
I have done so many different things with it!
This time I stamped the pinecones onto a piece of dark teal paper and added color with colored pencils.
I then brushed Distress crackle paint (Rock Candy) over the image and let it dry. Once it was dry - the cracks appear. To enhance the cracks I added distress ink over the top.
It really brings out the cracks!

The distress crackle paint was really fun to use
and adds so much!
This card could be a Christmas card, happy winter, whatever!
So many options in one stamp!

The big news is we are having a blog hop this Friday!
Frosty in July - featuring winter themed cards!
Here is a sneak peek of my card:
I hope that 'peaks' your interest! See you at the hop!
Until next time......
