Get Well Nurse

So glad you stopped by today!

Lately it seems like I've been needing get well cards for different people and different reasons.   It always seems like it goes in spurts like that so I've been working on building up my stash of get well cards again.

Here's one I made with one of my favorite QKR images,

Here's a close up look at the image.  I colored her with Copic Markers.

And...I've been trying to be better about finishing the insides of my cards while the scraps are still laying around on my table so here is the inside of my card.

Thanks for stopping by today for a little inspiration.

I hope you'll stop by again soon!

Copic Background and Silhouettes

Here is a great technique and  it's really simple, just color in the blocks with Copic markers and drop blending solution onto the panel.  I then stamped on the following silhouette images from Biblical Impressions: 35708 (437) - Phlox, 35715 - Large and Sm Gilias, 36601 - Thinking of You

The butterflies were punched using two Martha Stewart punches and I embossed them using a metal ball stylus and folded paper towel for cushion. I score the wing line on the front, flip it over and emboss between the lines and the outer edge and also the center body. They are attached to the card with Aleene’s tacky glue.

The sentiment panel was created with Spellbinder Petite Oval Nestabilities and a QuicKutz label die which I cut in half. I glued them together and to the card.

Paper: Bazzill textured white, Stampin Up red, Remember When black textured, Beckett Expressions Icberg (white)
Ink: Memento – Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Copics - Y19, R29, YR07,09, blender, Ranger blending solution, Aleene’s tacky glue

Balloon Girl Inspiration

Happy Thursday!

I hope you are having a great week!  If you're not...the good news is that it's almost over!

I have two cards to share today that both use Girl Balloon Holder  by Eureka Stamps.
I wanted to show you how versatile she is and how you can pair her with different balloons for a different look.

Here she is with Jack o'Lantern Balloon

Here's that same girl all dressed up for a party and holding present balloons

So, if you've been thinking about getting a few balloon holders/balloons I highly recommend Girl Balloon Holder because you can use her again and again with different balloons for a new look everytime!

Thanks for stopping by for some inspiration!

Picking Flowers

Hello crafty people!

Today I would like to share "Picking Flowers" (#11401) with you.
This is one of the cute 'Girl' images from QKR Stampede.

For this card I stamped her onto white card stock and colored her with Copic markers.  I borrowed them from a friend the other evening at a crop and I definitely will be putting Copics on my birthday and Christmas wish lists.

I used an oval Spellbinders die to cut out the image and mounted it on a larger oval.  I inked the edges of the image cut out and sanded the edges of the outer oval.

The background paper was embossed with a Sizzix embossing plate and my Cuttlebug, then sanded with a sanding block to bring out the flowers.
These were all adhered to an ivory base card and the edges of the card were inked.

I found the flower and butterfly buttons in my stash and added them with foam tape.

I hope you'll pop on over to the QKR Stampede store and see what great images there are to choose from.  These little girls are just adorable and very versatile.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Leave a comment and stop back again soon.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Kitty Halloween

Hi there. I can't believe it is October already!!!! That means here in my house the discussion is all...Halloween costumes. Well...I have officially purchased 2 of the 3 costumes I need. I will be making the 3rd one. And yes...2 of my 3 girls are going to be Angry Birds....LOL. Well...in honor of the upcoming fun day, I thought I would share this cute simple Halloween card I made using the adorable Pumpkin Kitty stamp from Eureka Stamps. Like I said...very simple! I wanted to add a sentiment, but I thought this card would also word as a general fall card, so I didn't put the "Halloween" sentiment on. The image was stamped on white CS, and again on orange. Then I cut the orange pumpkin out and layered onto the first image with foam tape. Then I simply layered onto the pumpkin background paper. Last, I added some orange ribbon.

Well that is all from me for today. Have a fabulous Monday!

Biblical - Candles

Can you believe that we have already October.
Now it will not be long before we have Weihnchten.
I do not even think about it.
Today I have worked a Christmas card with a stamp of
Biblical Impressions. The stamps name is  "Sm Candles"

I colored the image with watercolor pencils and I wiped with terpentine.

Have a nice week
