White Tail Deer (Biblical Impressions)

I wanted to share one of the regal deer iamges with you today from Biblical Impressions, this was a must have the minute I saw it and my son in law enjoyed this card for his birthday.

Prismacolor pencils, baby oil and paper stumps were used to color the image.

The deer was inked up using a VersaMark pen and heat embossed with clear powder to give the antlers some stability.

The scenery panel was created using torn edged paper for masking and sponging.

Markers were used to ink up the trees for stamping.

Ink distressing is done on all cardstock using a sponge.

The nailheads are attached with Diamond Glaze.

Paper piercing was done on the corners of the scenery panel. The deer panel is mounted on foam tape.

Inside the deer image was inked and stamped off on scarp paper then stamped on the card insert so a stamped sentiment or hand writing can easily be read over the image.

Is It Fall Yet???

I know ,we want to stay in Summer.

I am not sure about your area but, we have had a very limited summer this year.

So I am getting ready for some FALL projects using Eureka Stamps this month.

 When  I seen this image I knew I had to have it. There are so many possibilities with designs.

Here is a close up of the dimension I added. Oak Leaf Wreath is the name of this beauty.
Blessings sentiment seemed to work well with this design . This is available in a rubber stamp or also a digital image if you prefer.

A Fall Drive (QKR Stampede)

I can forget all about the world when I’m in my stamp room creating and this was such a fun card to get lost in!

To start off I drew the highway on cardstock to make a template which I’ll store for future use. I designed the template about a quarter inch wider than the card so I have room to move it into different positions according to the scene then what hangs over the edge is cut off. I layered the same amount of cardstock under at each to match the thickness that it rest on.

The white lines were added with Sakura gel pen and the edges were ink distressed with Ranger Distress Ink – black soot.

The scene was created by masking off with torn edged paper and sponging, I always sponge the lightest colors first (the sky) so the dark doesn’t get picked up on the sponge. Once the layers are on I stipple with a plastic stipple brush to add texture.

The trees are Fiskars large and small tree punches and I cut the middle down just a little so all three are different sizes. Aleene’s tacky glue was used to attach the Autumn Flower Soft.

The little pond was colored in with Copic markers it’s best to do this before you sponge on your ink so the markers won’t be damages by picking up the distress ink.

The cattail was also colored with Copic markers, cut out and I layered the bottom with the same thickness that the top will rest on. ¼ and 1/8” circle punches work well for this task.

The sky was created using my acetate cloud template sponge and ink.

The sun is cut with 1/14” and 5/8” circle punches and attached together with Aleene’s Paper Glaze because it a shiny coated glitter paper so it doesn’t shed. I then cut the V shapes freehand all around.

Duck, Duck.... (Lots of photos)

Hello there! I hope September has started out well for you all. We started school here yesterday, and so far so good! The kids had no problem getting up and ready for school in the morning, mom...well that is a whole other story. I don't like mornings. Well today I thought I would share a fun waterfall card with you. I have only made this style card one other time, but I really like the way this one turned out. I went with a humorous card today using 2 images from QKR Stampede. First I used the little ducky called Sitting on Log. I also used the Stitched Goose stamps. Here is what I came up with.

HA HA HA...I told you it was a silly card. When I was looking through the QKR Stampede store, I saw all the duck stamps, and thought it would be cute to do a duck duck goose card. The waterfall style card was perfect for it too. I stamped the images and colored with colored pencils. Then I hand wrote the words. I felt the card needed a little more then just the images, so I also added a few of the little paper flowers that you can also pick up at the QKR Stampede store too.

A Fall Birthday (Eureka Stamps)

Here’s a bright and cheery card for those masculine fall birthdays, I used images from Eureka Stamps to create the card:

A few details and supplies about the card:
Prismacolor pencils to color the images.

The cut out leaf and sentiment oval are popped up with foam squares.

A little ink distressing was done on the solid tan, green and sentiment panels.

The faux bards are cut with the Cuttlebug die Tiny Tags, tacky glue was used to attach to the card and Aleene’s Paper Glaze was applied to create a shiny finish. 

The inside leaves are a punch out that is colored with the pencils and the vein detail was drawn on with a Marvy fine tip marker.
