Which means that school staarting is right around the corner, then comes Labor Day, (which is the last BIG holiday of the summer), then comes fall, the winter, and then................well you know what I mean. This year has just flown by for me.
This is Laralee and I decided that I needed to do a card for a friend of mine that is feeling down..............so I picked the smiling flowers (17002). This is just such a nice and friendly stamp and needless to say one of my favs.
I colored it with my copics and I put it on a card from Hallmark, oh and of course I had to put some stickles on it.
I hope that this brightens your day and hers.
Take time to stop and smell the flowers because before long they will be gone and snow doesn't smell.

Isn't this guy adorable???!!! I just love all the owl images in the QKR Stampede Store. I have always been a fan of owls...and the owls from QKR are just adorable! This guy is called Christmas Cheer, and can be found HERE. I colored this guy with colored pencils, and added some crystal effects to the glasses. I also added some sparkly fun flock to the hat trim. I layered onto the PP (from TAC) and added the ribbon. I just love this ribbon technique. Now that I know the "cheater" way to do it, it is soooo easy...lol. Last I added the homemade brad.
That is all from me today, but be sure to stop back tomorrow for our "Frosty in July" blog hop!!!!

Here is the darling "Peace Angel"--#16705 . She is stamped on watercolor paper and colored with watercolors....I know, I am in a rut, but I love watercolors. Matted on green bazzil cardstock, then on peppermint candy paper then finally on red cardstock. Confetti stars were added for embellishments.

I'm still in a Christmas mood this week - anything to keep me cool in this Texas heat! For this card, I used the Holly stamp and the Deck the Halls sentiment set from QKR Stampede. I started by creating the multicolored green background using the Watercolor Distress technique (Technique Junkies Feb/March 2007 issue) and then I randomly stamped the Holly all over the background.
I also inked up the Holly with a green ink, stamped it off on scratch paper, and then stamped the faded Holly onto some ivory cardstock. The sentiment is stamped with a darker green ink over the Holly. Can you see how the holly looks sort of like a watermark behind the sentiment? I just couldn't resist adding a little red by coloring in some of the berries. I also sponged a little red ink around the edges to make the label pop out.
I hope this eye candy helps you think cool thoughts!

I had this post to go live this morning and did not even get on the computer to see that it did.
This is Laralee and I really am sorry for this.
I have done soooo many cards this month and I can hardle wait for the blog hop to show you even more of them.
BUT for now...........................I love my Santa looking for his elves.......not his Elvis elves. Both the saying and the Santa are from QKR Rubber Stampede and they are both sooooooo cute. I colored them with my copics and the background paper is from PC many moons ago.
The other card is also from the Christmas area and I just thought it was so cute. If I keep going like this I will have all of my Christmas cards done way before Christmas.
You just have to go to the QKR store and see all of the wonderful things that Maribeth has up in the store.
Have a ball for now and think CHRISTMAS and maybe you will cool off.

Some could argue that this is a Holiday stamp and that she is getting ready for the tree, but I think it applies for any time. She's crafting! And that is what I like to do best! And I am sure you do, too. So stop by the store and choose some stamps and get to it!
Have a great day!

Isn't this snowman couple adorable? My favorite seasons are fall and winter, and not just because the weather is cooler. I have some wonderful memories of making snowmen and snowangels as a kid, and stamps like this bring those memories back. Since I live in Texas, it's rather hard to make snowmen here. LOL
These images are from QKR Stampede, and I colored the snow couple with copic markers in some frosty blue colors. The background is created using the Pointillism technique from the Technique Junkies newsletter (December 2006 issue). There are lots of snowmen in the QKR Stampede store, and I'm looking forward to using more of them. Are you ready for Christmas yet??
