QKR Stampede - "Book Bear"

Today I again chose the image  "Book Bear", which I think is totally cute.
I love this image.
Some time ago I bought the punch of Tim Holtz and now I have finally opened it and made a bookmark for a girl with name Sabine.
I hope, she likes it.

I colored the image with watercolor pencils and I wiped with turpentine.

You've Been on My Heart

Hi there. Happy Monday! Did you remember to change your clocks on Saturday? I know not everywhere in teh world does it, but it is nice to think that I could have had an extra hour of sleep. However...I did not...lol. I was woken up at 3 by one child with a nightmare, and at 4:30 by another who was worried about the first one not being in bed....lol. Then for the next 3 hours I was asked multiple times when I was getting up. Oh fun! Well, I did manage to rest a little on Sunday afternoon, and relax a bit in my craftroom making this card using the one of the Tender Thoughts sets from Eureka Stamps. If you haven't checked these out before, you really need to. These stamps are great. There is one bigger stamp with a sentiment included on it, and then a smaller one that you can use to make the image "pop". As you can see, I did just that with this card. I started with the On My Heart stamp. I stamped it, colored it, and trimmed it down. Next I layered onto some green and orange CS. Then I stamped the Butterfly and Sunflower stamp. Trimmed it, colored it, and used pop dots to layer over the base stamped image.

Well that is all. Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Santa

Hi All!!!

Halloween is over and if you haven't been working on your Christmas cards you'd better get started!!!

I have a quick and easy Christmas card to share with you today.  This Santa Head is 2 1/2" x 3" so it takes up quite a bit of a card front and it's so cute that you don't need to do much else to it!

You could make this more of a CAS card by taking out some of the layers.

It's a great image because it requires very little coloring to look good!
I did addTulip Puffy Paint to his hat to create the fluffiness!
Here's a closer look.

Stamps:
Paper:
Polka Dot patterned paper unknown source
Prism Kraft Paper
Neenah white card stock
Ink:
Memento Tuxedo Black dye ink
Copic Markers
Other:
Spellbinders lable die
brads
Martha Stewart Bakers Twine
Tulip Puffy paint

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stamping!

"Life is Good"

Hello!  I hope you've had some time to do a bit of stamping lately.
Today I'm showing you a simple card that I made with one sentiment stamp.
I used the "Life is Good" (#16307) stamp from QKR Stampede.
I stamped this sentiment 3 times with VersaMark ink and then heat embossed them with gold embossing powder.  It's hard to see in the photo, but the words are a nice metallic gold.
Once they were embossed and cooled, I used a circle punch to punch the words out in the circles and also punch out circles in some coordinating papers.
The circles were all put through my Xyron and adhered to a piece of card stock.

The edges were all inked with Distress Ink.
I used an EK Success border punch on the right edge of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Leave a comment if you wish and be sure to come back soon.
